More Promising COVID Numbers: No New Deaths, Few New Infections in Evansville Area

The state has released more promising COVID-19 data for southwest Indiana. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced no new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

Each of the counties recorded fewer than ten new infections, and none in Pike County.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate held at three percent on the Tuesday dashboard.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana fell to 37.

Across Indiana, 12 new COVID fatalities were added with fewer than 600 new infections and a seven-day positivity rate of 3.1 percent.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported no new fatalities with 45 new infections.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the seven-county district rose a bit to eleven.
