No New COVID Deaths in SW Indiana; 2 More in Henderson

No new COVID 19-related deaths are reported in southwest Indiana. 

The Indiana Department of Health presented encouraging numbers on its Monday dashboard, adding no new COVID fatalities in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, Gibson, Pike, Dubois, or Spencer counties.

Just seven new infections were tallied in Vanderburgh County, with lesser totals in Warrick, Posey, and Gibson counties.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate rose a bit to 3.3 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana stood at 50.

Statewide, just 8 new COVID-related deaths were added with about 400 new infections.

Meanwhile, the Green River District Health Department added two new fatalities in Henderson County.

In a release, the department said the deaths were discovered through a state-wide review of death certificates.

Only eight new infections were tallied in the seven-county district, with nine COVID patients in the hospital.
