$448 million in federal funding now open for COVID-19 impacted households.
It’s called the Emergency Rental Assistance program. Indiana residents directly affected by the pandemic can get up to a year of rental and home utility assistance. The program will consider rent, utilities and also internet payments for eligible households for expenses incurred after April 1, 2020.
An eligible household is one in which one or more people qualifies for unemployment, or has experienced a reduction in income due to COVID-19, or demonstrates a risk of experiencing homelessness or has a household income at or below eighty percent of the area median income.
Additional COVID-19 housing and utility resources remain available to Indiana homeowners and renters.
