Ivy Tech is among schools planning to resume in-person instruction.
The community college has announced it will offer its courses starting in August in-person across its statewide campuses.
In a release, Ivy Tech said the decision was based on current trends of the COVID-19 pandemic throughout Indiana.
The college said it will continue to provide students with course options such as online and flexible delivery modes.
Ivy Tech said it’s already starting to increase the number of in-person courses, as classes begin later this month and then again in June.
The next spring session at Ivy Tech begins March 22 following Spring Break, when the school expects about 25 percent of the courses to be offered in-person.
Evansville Chancellor Daniela Vidal says with vaccinations taking place across the state, the community college system is “getting in a better and better position” to offer more in-person classes.
