COVID Death Toll Rises in Warrick, Daviess; New Infections Still Low

Three more COVID 19-related deaths are reported in Warrick County and four more in Daviess County, Kentucky.

The Indiana Department of Health raised Warrick’s pandemic death toll to 150 on the Friday dashboard.

New infections continued to trend lower, with 20 in Vanderburgh County and just single-digit increases in Warrick, Posey, and Gibson counties.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate dropped to 4.1 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana slipped below 60 for the first time since August.

Statewide, 33 new COVID-related deaths were added with fewer than 1,000 new infections.

The Green River District Health Department announced the four deaths in Daviess County, raising that county’s toll to 156.

42 new infections were recorded in the seven-county district with just 16 COVID patients in the hospital.
