Vanderburgh's COVID Death Toll Climbs by 4; New Infections Still Low

Vanderburgh County’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 375. 

The Indiana Department of Health announced four new COVID-related deaths in the county on its Monday dashboard.

The number of new infections continued to trend lower with just 19 in Vanderburgh County, and single-digit increases in Warrick, Posey, and Gibson counties.

The fatalities in Vanderburgh were the only ones reported in the Evansville area.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana dropped by 13 to 72.

Statewide, the agency tallied 35 more COVID-related deaths and just over 800 new infections.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded 76 new infections but no new COVID-related deaths.

20 COVID patients were hospitalized in that seven-county district.
