No New COVID Deaths, Few Infections in Evansville Area; Four Deaths in Western KY

The latest COVID-19 reports show encouraging numbers for southwest Indiana but four deaths in western Kentucky. 

The Indiana Department of Health recorded no new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties on the Tuesday dashboard.

The number of new infections was less than 40 in Vanderburgh, eleven in Warrick, and single-digits in Posey and Gibson.

Vanderburgh’s seven-day positivity rate was down to 6.5 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana was down to 74.

Statewide, the agency did announce 40 new COVID-related deaths but less than 900 new infections.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported three new fatalities in Daviess County and one in Ohio County.

90 new infections were added and 27 COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
