The Evansville area could see both snow and ice Monday night.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for southwest Indiana, southeast Illinois, and a portion of western Kentucky.
Forecasters say a band of snow is expected to spread eastward along the I-64 corridor in southern Illinois and southwest Indiana this afternoon and evening.
Later tonight, freezing rain or drizzle is forecast to create a thin, icy glaze on top of the snow.
The weather service says snow accumulations will average an inch, with some higher amounts possible -- especially along and north of I-64.
Forecasters advise you to plan on slippery roads and sidewalks this evening and overnight.
