COVID Death Toll Rises in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, and Dubois

Four more COVID 19-related deaths have been recorded in southwest Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Health announced one death in Vanderburgh County, one in Warrick County, one in Posey County, and one in Dubois County.

The number of new infections continued to fall, with just 33 reported in Vanderburgh County on the Monday dashboard.

Gibson County remains the only “red” county our area. That’s the state’s highest advisory level.

Across southwest Indiana, the number of COVID patients in the hospital rose by five to 137.

Statewide, the agency reported 58 new COVID-related deaths, just over 1,000 new infections, and less than 1,300 hospitalized COVID patients.

The Green River District Health Department added 82 COVID infections but no new fatalities.

31 COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county region.

Two new COVID-related deaths were recorded in Hopkins County.
