The COVID-19 death toll has risen in Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Daviess counties.
The Indiana Department of Health announced two new fatalities in Vanderburgh and three more in Warrick.
Vanderburgh County’s pandemic death toll reached 348. That’s a jump of 74 fatalities -- part of the 1,500 additional COVID-related deaths across Indiana announced on Wednesday.
Warrick’s death toll rose to 133 on the Thursday dashboard.
Statewide, the department reported 37 more COVID-related deaths, pushing the toll beyond 11,000.
More than 400 fatalities are considered “probable” COVID-related deaths.
New infections continued to rise at a slower rate, with 49 reported in Vanderburgh County and about 2,400 statewide.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department announced three more COVID-related deaths in Daviess County and one in Ohio County.
The department recorded 143 new infections with 25 COVID patients hospitalized in the seven-county district.
