Indiana State Senator Vaneta Becker has tested negative for the coronavirus.
In a release, Press Secretary Ryan Kommes said the Evansville Republican tested negative after she had close contact with someone who had tested positive for COVID-19.
Kommes also said Becker received the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine at Deaconess Midtown Hospital on Friday.
The 71-year-old Becker had been quarantining at home after the exposure, which was reported last week.
Kommes said the exposure occurred while she was away from the Statehouse.
