Daviess County COVID Death Toll Rises to 120

Two more COVID 19-related deaths are reported in Daviess County, Kentucky. 

The Green River District Health Department raised the death toll in Daviess County to 120.

The department also reported 101 new infections in its seven-county district, with 55 COVID patients in the hospital.

The Indiana Department of Health added 119 new COVID cases in Vanderburgh County, pushing the total since March above 18,700.

Vanderburgh’s death toll held at 213, while the seven-day positivity rate was steady at about 14-and-a-half percent.

No new COVID-related deaths were added in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in southwest Indiana soared to 289, while the percentage of available intensive care beds improved to 31 percent across the 12-county district.

Statewide, Indiana saw 30 new COVID-related deaths and more than 2,500 new cases.

The state’s seven-day positivity rate improved to 12.5 percent.
