Area Could See a Little Snow Friday Night

File

Forecasters say snow showers may cause some travel issues in the Tri-State Friday night.

The Evansville area hasn’t seen much snow so far this winter and the National Weather Service isn’t expecting much tonight.

But forecasters say the expected snow showers could create some slippery spots on roadways.

The weather service says a few of the showers may produce brief bursts of moderate to heavy snow.

The snow showers would reduce visibility and could stick to roadways, especially bridges and overpasses.

If you encounter a snow shower, you’re urged to slow down and leave plenty of space between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Any snow accumulations are expected to top out at a half-inch.
