Another COVID-related death is reported in Vanderburgh County, along with seven fatalities in western Kentucky.
The Indiana State Department of Health raised Vanderburgh County’s pandemic death toll to 207.
The agency also tallied 238 new cases in the county.
No new COVID-related deaths were recorded in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients in southwest Indiana fell to 264, while the percentage of available intensive care beds dropped to just over 17 percent.
Statewide, 80 new fatalities were announced along with about 6,200 new infections on the Wednesday dashboard.
The Green River District Health Department announced seven COVID-related deaths, four of them in Daviess County, one in Henderson County, and two in Ohio County.
The latest fatalities pushed Daviess County’s death toll above 100. Henderson County has topped 50.
190 new infections were reported in the Green River District.
