Vanderburgh County has seen two more COVID-related deaths and more than 200 new infections.
The Indiana State Department of Health raised Vanderburgh’s pandemic death toll to 206.
The department also added 220 new infections in the county, along with a seven-day positivity rate of 17 percent on its Tuesday dashboard.
Dubois County saw one new COVID-related death, pushing its toll to 62.
No new fatalities were added in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Across southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients rose by 15 to 279, with the percentage of available intensive care beds down to about 23 percent in the 12-county region.
Statewide, the agency reported 142 new COVID-related deaths and more than 3,400 new infections.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded 248 new infections but no COVID-related deaths.
The number of COVID patients in the hospital was down two to 45 in the seven-county district.
