The COVID-19 death toll in Vanderburgh County has jumped by seven.

The Indiana State Department of Health announced the seven fatalities, which pushed the county’s death toll since March to 198.
The agency also added 174 COVID infections in Vanderburgh County on its Wednesday dashboard. The county’s seven-day positivity rate rose to 13.5 percent.
Gibson County saw three more coronavirus-related deaths, Spencer County saw two, Warrick and Pike counties each added one.
Across southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients rose to 259 with about 13.5 percent of intensive care beds available in the 12-county region.
Statewide, Indiana added 109 COVID-related deaths and another 4,800 infections.
The state’s pandemic death toll surpassed 7,800 with another 348 considered “probable” COVID-related fatalities.

The Green River District Health Department announced two new fatalities in Daviess County and one in McLean County on Wednesday.
The Daviess County death toll reached 90. McLean County has seen 22 COVID-related deaths.
The agency reported 153 new infections in the seven-county district.
