The Indiana State Department of Health announced two new COVID-related deaths in Vanderburgh County, one in Gibson County, and one in Dubois County.
Vanderburgh’s death toll rose to 191, with 123 new infections on the Tuesday dashboard.
Infections in the county since March surged above 15,000.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county southwest Indiana district rose by seven to 251, with the percentage of available intensive care beds improved to 14.5 percent.
Statewide, Indiana saw a big jump in COVID-related deaths, 164, to more than 7,700.
The state also reported more than 4,000 new infections.
The Green River District Health Department announced four new fatalities in Daviess County, raising that county’s pandemic total to 88.
160 new infections were recorded in the seven-county district with 41 COVID patients in the hospital.
