One New COVID Death in Warrick Co.; 144 New Cases in Vanderburgh

One new COVID-related death is reported in Warrick County, while Vanderburgh County has seen another triple-digit increase in infections.

The Indiana State Department of Health announced Warrick’s 82^nd COVID fatality on its Thursday dashboard.

The agency reported no new deaths in Vanderburgh, Gibson, or Posey counties, but Vanderburgh saw 144 new cases.

The number of COVID patients in the hospital rose to 273 in southwest Indiana, with the percentage of available intensive care beds down to about 10 percent in the 12-county region.

Statewide, 79 more COVID-related deaths were added, along with more than 6,400 new infections.

The Green River District Health Department reported 119 new COVID cases but no new coronavirus-related deaths.

53 COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
