The Dubois County Health Department says the state has moved the county into the Red Zone, meaning community spread is high.

The red designation puts a 25-person limit on social gatherings.

Dubois is one of 26 Indiana counties in the red zone. The rest of the state’s counties are in the Orange Zone, meaning a 50-person limit on social gatherings, with some exceptions.

Governor Eric Holcomb implemented the restrictions last month due to a surge in COVID cases.

Health officials continue to stress wearing masks, avoiding crowds, and social distancing.
