The Indiana State Department of Health announced one new COVID-related death in Vanderburgh County and one in Gibson County.
The Wednesday dashboard also showed more than 200 new COVID infections in Vanderburgh, pushing the county’s pandemic total above 13,000.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients in southwest Indiana dropped a bit to 271, but the percentage of available intensive care beds fell to just about eleven-percent in the 12-county region.
The state agency also reported another triple-digit increase in COVID deaths across Indiana, 125, with nearly 6,300 new infections.
The Green River District Health Department announced two new fatalities, one in Daviess County and one in Webster County.
The department also reported 190 new infections and 51 COVID patients hospitalized in the seven-county district.
