200+ COVID Infections Added in Vanderburgh County; No New Deaths

More than 200 new COVID-19 infections are reported in Vanderburgh County.

The Indiana State Department of Health counted 212 new infections in the county, pushing the total above 12,800 since March.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

The number of COVID patients in the hospital rose to 268 in southwest Indiana, with the percentage of available intensive care beds at about 18 percent in the 12-county region.

Statewide, 35 new COVID-related deaths were tallied, along with more than 5,000 new infections.

In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported 74 new infections – down from a string of triple-digit increases – and no new COVID-related deaths.

The department said 47 COVID patients were in the hospital.
