The Indiana State Department of Health announced three fatalities in Gibson County and one in Vanderburgh County on its Thursday dashboard.
Vanderburgh’s toll rose to 151, while Gibson has now seen 42 COVID-related deaths.
No new fatalities were added in Warrick or Posey counties.
88 new cases were reported in Vanderburgh, down from recent triple-digit increases.
Across southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients rose to 296, while the percentage of available intensive care beds dropped to about 13 percent in the 12-county region.

In western Kentucky, Daviess and Ohio counties continue to suffer a surge in fatalities.
The Green River District Health Department reported four new deaths in Daviess, and two more in Ohio.
The district added 187 infections, with 43 COVID patients in the hospital.
