The library system says EVPL East is open for services after closing in August for needed work.

In a release, the EVPL said the library in Bayard Park required water remediation and structural work.

Evansville’s public libraries switched to curbside-only services last month in response to growing cases of COVID-19.

EVPL East has served the Bayard Park neighborhood and for more than 100 years.

It originally opened along with EVPL West in 1913 after Andrew Carnegie provided the money to build the identical libraries.
