The Indiana State Department of Health announced the county’s 128th death and a single-day record 267 new COVID cases on its Monday dashboard.
No new COVID-related fatalities were recorded in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
70 new infections were added in Warrick, 61 in Gibson, and 26 in Posey.
The agency reported 285 COVID patients in the hospital across southwest Indiana, with the percentage of available intensive care beds up a bit to just over 19 percent in the 12-county region.
Statewide, 38 COVID-related deaths were added with more than 5,700 new cases.
The Green River District Health Department reported a spike of 306 new infections in its seven-county region. 53 COVID patients were in the hospital.
The department counted 18 COVID-related deaths last week.
