A public meeting is set for Wednesday evening to present plans for a pedestrian crossing near Bosse High School.
The Indiana Department of Transportation will conduct the meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Bosse’s cafeteria.
The presentation and comments will also be live-streamed on INDOT’s Facebook page.
The agency calls it an opportunity for residents to comment on a recommended pedestrian crossing at Highway 41 and Washington Avenue.
For decades, local residents have called for a pedestrian overpass at the busy intersection.
The state has considered both a underground tunnel and a pedestrian bridge.
