More than 140 new COVID cases are reported in Vanderburgh County, while the state of Indiana has topped 5,000 in a single day.
The Indiana State Department of Health tallied 146 new COVID infections in Vanderburgh County on its Wednesday dashboard.
On a more positive note, no new COVID-related deaths were reported in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients in southwest Indiana rose to 238, with just over 20 percent of intensive care beds available in the 12-county region.
