Vanderburgh County’s COVID death toll has reached 90.
The Indiana State Department of Health announced two fatalities in the county on its Monday dashboard.
The agency also reported another triple-digit increase in COVID infections in Vanderburgh County, 118.
No new coronavirus deaths were recorded in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
The number of COVID patients in the hospital soared above 200 in southwest Indiana, with just 18 percent of intensive care beds available in the 12-county region.
Statewide, the agency added 34 COVID-related deaths and more than 4,200 new infections.
Indiana’s pandemic death toll surged above 4,400 with another 246 deaths considered “probable” COVID cases since mid-March.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department added 115 infections but no new deaths.
27 COVID patients were hospitalized in the seven-county district.
