A statewide industry organization has named Evansville Regional the best airport in Indiana.
Aviation Indiana announced Evansville Regional is its “2020 Indiana Airport of the Year.”
The organization recognized what it called “EVV’s innovation in providing a world-class customer experience, safety, sustainability, leadership, effective and efficient operations, and community collaboration.”
In a release, EVV Executive Director Nate Hahn said the honor is a credit to the airport’s employees who he said “continually go above and beyond.”
As part of EVV’s recognition, the Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville – or cMoe -- will receive a $1,000 donation from Aviation Indiana on behalf of the airport.
Aviation Indiana has been around nearly 40 years. It began its “airport of the year” award in 2004.
