A lucky winner will split nearly $1.4 million in the West Side Nut Club’s half pot drawing.
The Nut Club cancelled the Fall Festival due to the COVID-19 pandemic but the wildly-popular drawing went ahead with booths selling tickets on W. Franklin St. and on the former Mead Johnson parking lot at the Lloyd Expressway and St. Joe Avenue.
The ticket sales frequently snarled traffic in the area.
The Nut Club announced the winning number Saturday night: 1706883.
There was no word of a winner as of midday Monday.
As one ticket buyer posted on Facebook “I guess I’ll be going back to work on Monday.”
Officials say proceeds from the drawing go to the community.
