COVID-19 has led to a shortage of school bus drivers in Warrick County.
In a Facebook post Sunday night, officials said a "significant number" of Castle-area bus drivers wouldn’t be able to drive their assigned routes "due to the Covid-19 Pandemic."
The post said the shortage would affect both morning and afternoon routes for at least Monday.
Impacted schools include: Castle High School, Castle North and South middle schools, John H. Castle Elementary, Newburgh Elementary, and Sharon Elementary.
The post encouraged parents to take their students to and from their respective schools, if possible.
The post said buses could be operating as much as 45 minutes to an hour behind schedule due to complications with getting substitute and/or alternate drivers.
