99 new cases of COVID-19 are reported in Vanderburgh County, while Pike County has turned “red” on the state’s COVID dashboard.

No new COVID-related deaths were reported in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
But the Indiana State Department of Health moved Pike County into the “red” category, due to rising numbers of infections and a seven-day positivity rate near 16 percent.
Statewide, six new fatalities were recorded along with nearly 1,600 new cases.
The Green River District Health Department reported 77 new infections in its seven-county region.
No new deaths were recorded, but the department counted 20 COVID-related fatalities last week – more than a third of the district’s deaths since the pandemic took off in March.
The Green River department said 36 COVID patients are currently hospitalized.
