Evansville Day School has switched to online classes.
The private school sent a message to students and parents on Sunday stating classes will be virtual this week due to COVID-19 concerns.
Head of School Kevin Kunst said a teacher in Day’s School’s primary school tested positive for COVID-19.
Kunst said several of that teacher's close contacts were other faculty and staff members putting "considerable strain on our ability to safely and effectively staff the building."
He said the school is reaching out to those contacts with further information about quarantining.
