A dozen Evansville organizations will receive a share of almost $10 million in state grants to help recover from the pandemic's impact.
Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch announced the grants for nearly 500 groups across Indiana from the Arts, Cultural and Destination Marketing Organization program.
The 12 Evansville organizations to receive the grants include the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra; the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science; the Evansville Zoological Society; the Koch Family Children's Museum; the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, Reitz Home Museum, Vanderburgh County 4-H; the Children's Center for Dance Education; the Public Education Foundation of Evansville; Civic Theatre; Wesselman Woods; and the Evansville Wartime Museum.
The funding was made possible through a partnership between the Indiana Destination Development Corporation and the Indiana Arts Commission.
The program provides support to organizations whose operations have been disrupted by COVID-19.
