The state of Indiana has added a new map to its COVID-19 dashboard, showing infections in schools.
The map shows high schools with the largest number of COVID cases in the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, with Reitz recording 21 student cases, North reporting eight student cases, and Central seven.
Other public schools in Vanderburgh County reported less than five cases.
Some schools in the area are not represented on the new map, as are about half the schools across Indiana.
Schools are not required to provide the data but state health commissioner Dr. Kristina Box has said the state would consider a mandate if schools didn’t cooperate.
