For a second straight day, the state of Indiana has reported a new COVID-related death in Vanderburgh County.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported the county’s 26th fatality since mid-March on its Thursday dashboard.
The report also showed another jump in new infections in Vanderburgh County – 47 – and a seven-day positivity rate of 3.8 percent based on all tests.
No new fatalities were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Statewide, six new fatalities were recorded along with 850 new cases and an overall seven-day positivity rate of 4.5 percent.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department recorded 38 new infections in its seven-county region, but no new deaths.
The department said a dozen confirmed COVID patients were in the hospital.
