New COVID-related deaths are reported in Vanderburgh, Union, and Webster counties.
The Indiana State Department of Health announced Vanderburgh County’s 25th COVID-related death in its Wednesday report.
The agency also reported 48 new infections in the county, pushing the total above 3,100 since mid-March.
No new COVID deaths were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Statewide, Indiana recorded 12 new fatalities and more than 600 new cases.
In western Kentucky, the Green River District Health Department reported Union County’s second COVID-related death and Webster County’s third.
The agency recorded 28 new infections across its seven-county region.
District Public Health Director Clay Horton urged people to keep practicing the three “W’s”: wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance.”
