Vanderburgh COVID Infections Top 2,800

The number of COVID-19 infections in Vanderburgh County has risen above 2,800. 

The Indiana State Department of Health recorded 29 confirmed cases for the county in its Tuesday report.

No new COVID-related deaths were announced in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Statewide, the agency reported 12 new fatalities but less than 400 new infections.

The Green River District Health Department reported 41 new cases in its seven-county region – 18 of them in Henderson County and 15 in Union County.

The agency said 16 people who tested positive are in the hospital.

No new COVID-related deaths were recorded in the Green River District.

Statewide, the Kentucky death toll was approaching 1,000.
