28 new cases of COVID -19 have been reported in Vanderburgh County, while western Kentucky has set a single-day record.
The Indiana State Department of Health says Vanderburgh County has now recorded 2,649 confirmed cases since March.
The county’s death toll held at 19 in the agency’s Thursday report.
No new COVID-related fatalities were reported in Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Just four new deaths were added statewide but more than 1,100 new cases were recorded in Indiana.
The Green River District Health Department reported its highest single-day number of new infections since the pandemic began – 63.
22 of the new cases were added in Daviess County, 18 in Union County, and 15 in Henderson County.
No new deaths were reported in the seven-county region.
