USI Unveils COVID-19 Dashboard

The numbers will be updated each Friday afternoon with the previous week's cases.

As they began their second week of classes Monday, USI officials rolled out a publicly accessible web page with the university’s COVID-19 positive case results.

The dashboard is broken down into weekly numbers and cumulative cases since students and staff began self-reporting in March of this year.

The dashboard will be updated weekly and contain the previous week’s results. In addition to the week’s new cases, the dashboard also has information about how many students are in self-isolation because of a positive test or are quarantined after being identified as close contacts with someone who tested positive.

In a release, USI President Dr. Ron Rochon says that they’ve seen a rise in cases in recent days, and encouraged students and staff to avoid gathering in large groups. He stressed that they should maintain proper hygiene, distancing and to wear masks.
