File

The remnants of Hurricane Laura are bringing storms and heavy rain to the Tri-State.

The center of the former hurricane is forecast to move through Kentucky.

The National Weather Service says scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will bring heavy rain and flooding, especially south of Evansville.

A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for areas south of a line from Cape Girardeau, Missouri to Owensboro.

Forecasters also say damaging winds and even a few tornadoes are possible in the Tri-State.

A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect for western Kentucky.

The storms are expected to move out of the area on Saturday, followed by cooler temperatures and new chances for rain by Sunday night and Monday.
