Vanderburgh COVID Cases Top 2,000; Ohio Co. Reports 9th Death

The number of COVID cases in Vanderburgh County has topped 2,000, while another COVID-related death is reported in western Kentucky. 

The Indiana State Department of Health reported 25 new coronavirus cases in Vanderburgh County, raising the total of residents who have been infected to 2,022.

No new COVID-related deaths were recorded in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.

Statewide, fatalities jumped by 25 to 2,863. Another 206 deaths are considered “probable” coronavirus-related fatalities.

Meanwhile, the Green River District Health Department reported a 9th COVID-related death in Ohio County.

The department also reported 18 new cases in its seven-county region – a dozen of them in Daviess County.
