A new COVID-related death is reported in western Kentucky, while the number of confirmed cases continues to rise in Vanderburgh County.
The Green River District Health Department said a Webster County resident died of the coronavirus, the first COVID-related death in that county.
It raised the seven-county district’s death toll to 14.
The Indiana State Department of Health announced 45 new cases in Vanderburgh County, pushing the local total above 1,200.
23 new cases were added in Warrick County.
No new deaths were reported in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
Statewide, the Indiana death toll climbed by 14 to 2,666. Another 197 fatalities are considered “probable” COVID-related deaths.
