The National Weather Service says a brief tornado caused damage near the Vanderburgh-Posey county line.

The weather service says the EF-1 twister hit near Denzer and Posey County Line roads as storms rolled through the Tri-State late Wednesday night.

The tornado knocked down trees and power lines, and caused damage to some structures.

There were no injuries reported.

The weather service issued a Tornado Warning but the twister quickly lifted.

Hundreds of Vectren customers lost electricity, but the utility reported all power was restored on Thursday.
