Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Vanderburgh County have surged above 600.
Vanderburgh County has set a one-day record in new cases, with the state department of health reporting 42 new infections on Thursday.
Confirmed cases in the county rose to 629.
There were no new COVID-19 related deaths reported in Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, or Gibson counties.
More than 500 new cases were reported statewide in the Thursday report, with seven new fatalities.
The Indiana agency said less than half of the state’s intensive care beds are filled, and nearly 83 percent of Indiana’s ventilators are available.
