A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for most of the WNIN listening area until 9am Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service at Paducah, areas of rain, heavy at times, will move through the WNIN listening area through Tuesday evening. One to three inches of rain is likely, with heavier amounts expected north of the Ohio River.
The weather service says they also cannot rule out a severe storm or two, with the greatest threat being torrential downpours and strong, gusty winds.
Once the current round of rain passes, there is a forty percent chance of rain Wednesday, with skies gradually clearing and warmer temperatures. On Friday, we’re expecting mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 90’s.
