COVID-19 Claims Frog Follies

E'ville Iron Streetrods Ltd.

Another big summer event in the Evansville area has fallen victim to the pandemic.

E’ville Iron Streetrods Ltd. posted on its Facebook page Tuesday that it has cancelled this year’s Frog Follies due to COVID-19.

The group called it a “very difficult decision” but said the health and safety of participants, vendors, sponsors, and more than 50,000 attendees is the number one priority.

Officials decided that the risks of hosting the event outweighed the benefits of opening the gates.

The antique hot rod show traditionally draws big crowds to the Vanderburgh 4-H Center, fills up area hotels and restaurants, and raises money for Easter Seals.

Participants have until July 31st to request a refund.

The Streetrods group said it hopes to reconnect with everyone in person next year.
