The state of Indiana has passed a grim milestone in the battle against COVID-19.
The Indiana State Department of Health reported 46 new coronavirus-related deaths on Tuesday, raising the statewide toll beyond 2000 – to 2022.
Indiana reported more than 400 new confirmed cases, raising the state’s pandemic total beyond 35,000.
Nearly 272,000 people have been tested in Indiana.
No new COVID-19 deaths were recorded in Vanderburgh, Warrick. Posey, or Gibson counties.
Positive cases in Vanderburgh County rose to 284.
