Evansville Police are investigating a late night shooting that wounded a pregnant woman.
Central Dispatch received several calls about shots fired at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of E Michigan St. shortly before midnight.
In a release, the EPD said officers quickly located the female victim and rendered aid until an ambulance arrived and took her to a hospital.
Police said the victim’s injuries were non-life threatening and her unborn child was fine.
Officers said six different apartments were struck by bullets and they found several shell casings in the parking lot.
Police said suspects have yet to be identified and are asking anyone that might have information about this case to contact the Evansville Police Department.
