Two More COVID Deaths from Newburgh Nursing Home

File

Two more coronavirus deaths have been reported from a Newburgh nursing home.

Warrick County Coroner Sarah Seaton told WNIN that an 84-year-old man died from COVID-19 complications Monday.

That’s in addition to a 97-year-old woman passed over the weekend.

Seaton said the two deaths were the 9th and 10th COVID-19 fatalities from Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh.

Twelve coronavirus deaths were previously reported at another Newburgh facility, Signature Healthcare.

The latest deaths raise Warrick County’s total to 26.

A spike in positive cases continues in Dubois County. That county’s health department reported 43 new cases Monday, raising the total to 161.

The Dubois death toll held at two.

In its Monday report, the Indiana State Department of Health showed the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Vanderburgh County rose to 219, with no new deaths.

The statewide death toll rose 14 to 1,621.
