Evansville-based Berry Global is expanding its capacity to help make face masks.
Berry announced the continued expansion of its global Meltex capacity, with the addition of another asset to support the growing global face mask demand.
In a release, Berry said the new line is expected to be operating by October the company’s production facility in Berlin, Germany.
The new line will focus on producing highly efficient filter material for N95 and N99 masks.
Health professionals have been widely using the masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Berry Vice President Cedric Ballay said the company will “continue to provide timely solutions to those looking for assistance fighting the spread of COVID-19.”
